The device requires the removal of 17 Phillips screws as well as the SIM tray to access the internal components. The back housing is made of plastic and the glass camera lens covers are held down with adhesive. The battery cable needs to be disconnected from the main board and the battery can be pried off with a pull pouch. The flex cable for the volume keys and power button needs to be gently peeled off. The primary microphone is located on the sub board which is held down with a single Phillips screw.
