The OPPO A40 shows a mix of repair-friendly and challenging design choices. On the positive side the battery and its cable are easily accessible and pull tabs are provided to aid in battery removal. However several obstacles affect overall repairability: adhesive is used for both the back cover and the battery multiple components must be disassembled to replace the screen and the mid-frame needs to be removed to reach key parts. Additionally limited regional availability such as not being available in India could make obtaining replacement parts more difficult.
